Blogging Challenge 2021 - Scottish Borders in Lockdown
A JOYOUS TIME - Last year April 2020, daughter came round on Easter Sunday to leave a picnic bag
and when we opened it there were fresh sandwiches (butcher’s ham & egg
& tomato), homemade sausage rolls, homemade fruit scones with homemade, jam, homemade banoffee pie, and chocolate nests with mini Easter eggs (made by granddaughter) and chocolate tiffin - plus a bottle of red grape juice which we like. What a feast!
It was such a delightful, thoughtful, original Easter gift, a total surprise
& I was very touched, - but how I missed giving her a hug!
Of course we could not help wondering what she might do this Easter - and yes, we did get a visit with three trays of goodies, plus a bottle of blackberry & elderflower juice. This time I did give her a hug - after all we are coming out of Lockdown and we are in her Bubble!

JABS - We had our second Jab last week administered by our local health centre in the local church hall in a first class, smooth, no waiting around procedure. The atmosphere was almost celebratory - everyone was so cheerful and friendly, people glad to be out with a chance to meet friends, and chat; helped by the fact it was a most beautiful spring day with sun shining and blue skies ahead. All of sudden life seemed much more positive.

[Just to confound us, and bring us back to reality, we woke up yesterday morning to a covering of snow and cold, cold temperatures.]

Yes, Jab is the watchword this year -- and happily so! Congrats on getting yours. I was grateful to be a genealogy blogger in January when I had to go online at all hours trying to book my first/second jabs. My experience doing online research genealogy research proved invaluable -- and I was all done by March 1. Oh joy! https://mollyscanopy.com/2021/04/junior-prom-my-awkward-first-date-atozchallenge/
