Holiday Highs in Austria - Sepia Saturday

"Highs and Lows is the September theme from Sepia Saturday.  A cue for me to look back on memories of mountauins in Austria -

The road up to Austria's highest mountain the Gross Glockner a 12,46 feet   and also the highest mountain in the Alps.

    Thanks for sharing your experience of getting right up and personal with a very high mountain. I was reminded how higher altitudes mean less oxygen...and how when I went to a 14,000 foot mountain in Colorado many years ago, I definitely was short of breath often. Obviously you all were able to adjust just fine!

    You had the perfect pictures to go along with the prompt. The scenery is gorgeous. So majestic. And there you were to enjoy it all in person. :)

    Perfection! I can almost smell the air and feel the cool breeze. Our mountains in North Carolina seem very tame in comparison.
